New dedicated IMI Awards Assessment Centre for ATA |
Following the highly successful opening of the technologically advanced Auto Diagnostic Centre at North Lindsey College, considerable funds have been invested in the centre which has already seen hundreds of motor trade businesses and individuals within the Humber region benefit from the College’s outstanding facilities.
The main objective of the Auto Diagnostic Centre was to provide cutting edge facilities to the Humber region giving a boost to the motor trade whilst also raising the achievements and qualification base of those who work within the motor industry.

Managing your talent - Kingsway Business Learning Community |
Talent and the management of talent in organisations came under the spotlight at the first of a series of events in Scunthorpe.
About 30 people from leading companies in the area ere at the Kingsway Centre to hear a presentation from Dr Stephen Swailes and Dr Kevin Orr of the Hull University Business School.
The events are being held by the Kingsway Business Learning Community, a network of business leaders led by Colin Guthrie, Senior Business Manager of Kingsway Consulting.
The aims of the session included outlining core concepts and practices in the field of talent management and enabling those attending to share their own ideas.

Firms across North Lincolnshire are joining together to drive forward a learning partnership.
Faced with a difficult economic climate, they are helping to develop a group to exchange ideas and ensure that learning continues through the challenges ahead.
Colin Guthrie is Senior Business Manager at Kingsway Consulting, which is part of North Lindsey College. He said it was important to make sure businesses continued to learn and the difficult climate presented an opportunity to take stock, see where business was and invest in learning. |

Adult Learning and Skills - Update |
The LSCs (Learning and Skills Council)Adult budget is forecast to rise from £3,063 million in 2007-8 to £3,599 million in 2010-11 (a 5.7% average annual increase). For the first time since the LSCs creation, the adult budget is increasing faster than the 16-18 but the targets for adults are much more stretching - refined and widened to cover literacy and numberacy as well as level 3. |

Kingsway Consulting expand into the West Midlands |
Kingsway Consulting/North Lindsey College have opened a new office - in Central Birmingham.
The college's first office outside the region is the result of an invitation from the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to tender for delivery nationally of a Train to Gain Service.
The successful tender will see the college delivering the service across the West Midlands. |
